Summer Camp

Calling all campers and aspiring conservationists for a summer full of adventure! Experience a summer camp like no other. Hop into our travelling classroom where together we’ll explore and discover hidden gems in and around our beautiful city and learn all about conservation.

Parents, are you looking for a fun, engaging, AND educational camp? Then you’ve found it! We’ll be diving into the world of conservation, wildlife, and how we can have a positive impact on the world around us. Your kids will immerse themselves in nature and get inspired to become stewards of the Earth. By the end of the week, they’ll learn to embody the Conservation Guardian spirit by taking home tools and resources to step into this exciting role.

Our Conservation Headquarters will be located at EPCC, where we’ll have all our conservation focused games, activities, and arts & crafts while we’re not out exploring and adventuring.

**Please Note: Conservation Guardian Summer Camp is NOT associated with the El Paso Zoo. Instead, we have set up a fantastic home base classroom where parents and guardians can conveniently drop off and pick up their young conservationists.

TWO different weeks to choose from, both unique and exciting experiences:

Pollinator Week

BIRDS, BEES & BUTTERFLIES

Your children will hop onto our travelling classroom and visit the beautiful Rio Bosque Wetlands, Bodega Loya and Keystone Heritage Park. At each of these locations we’ll learn about native bird species, natural habitats and the important role bees and butterflies play in the ecosystem, including how they’re directly connected to the food we eat! We’ll also learn about food waste, composting, and how these ecofriendly practices have a positive impact on our beautiful planet.

Nature and Native Species Week

Reconnecting to Nature and learning about the fascinating Chihuahuan Desert

Get ready for your child’s favorite summer experience in our travelling classroom! We’ll visit Hueco Tanks National Park and Historic Site, where we’ll take ‘adventure’ to a whole new level. Your child will discover native species and fascinating facts about the Chihuahuan Desert, dig into the hidden treasures of the region’s geology, and much more! We’ll also travel to Licon Dairy, where we’ll focus on living a sustainable lifestyle and meet the friendly peacocks, goats and ostriches that call the dairy their home. We’ll finish off the week by visiting a nature-inspired local school that has its very own chicken coop and fruit tree orchard, diving into living life in harmony with our environment and nature.
